Fr 2-25
Fr 2-25 - a giant (18 arcminutes) evolved faint planetary nebula in Monoceros.
Its most distinctive feature is the bowshock on the left as it interacts with the interstellar medium.
Fr 2-25 was discovered by professional astronomer David Frew in 2008.
It was also independently discovered by the Deep Sky Hunter Matthias Kronberger and amateur astronomer Filipe Alves in 2012 and was previously known as Alv 4 and Kronberger 64 before being given the joint name of AlvKn 1.
It's at a distance of around 2838 light years from Earth.
